What to Do With Fake Microsoft Office

I purchased a second hand laptop from a friend. She badly needs money and as my way of helping her, I decided to pay for the item. The laptop is still in good condition. According to her she bought it a few months ago and she was only able to use the device for a few times. But what if Microsoft Office Says Not Genuine? I was about to use it for a word document but I was surprised when I learned that the MS Office installed on it is not the original one. I wonder if this is something I have to give attention to or can I leave it that way. I thought of asking my friend about this matter but I realized there is no point in doing so. She already has a lot of problems to deal with and adding up to these problems is the last thing on my mind. I will just try to investigate on this matter using my internet access. I may also consider calling Microsoft’s technical support for advice.
