Unsinkable Molly Brown received many accolades during the famous Titanic disaster. “Unsinkable Molly Brown” was one of the members of the RMS Titanic first class passenger list. Molly Brown was a boastfully ambitious, loud spoken woman, who made her mark in Titanic history for persuading the commander of lifeboat number 6 to turn around and save some people who were stranded in the water. Molly Brown was great friends with the Astor family, who were the richest couple on the RMS Titanic first class passenger list. She often vacationed with them in Egypt and was returning home to America after hearing her grandson was sick. Molly Brown’s decision to purchase a ticket home was a last minute decision, but it was one which would change her life forever. After purchasing a ticket which placed her on the RMS Titanic first class passenger list, Molly would go on to shine even in dismay. Her courage to stand up to the lifeboat’s commander makes her one of the Titanic’s most talked about women.
