Problems making my benefits claim in scotland

I have lived down in England for most of my life but recently moved up to Scotland with my wife. We have moved for her job but i had to leave mine as the company i was with does not have a branch this far north and the travelling was not practical. I have now started to look at claiming benefits whilst i am out of work. I have contacted the benefits agency scotland who gave me some forms and stuff to fill in and take back. I have done this before in england so i was pretty sure of the procedure for doing this but everything seemed a bit quicker here. There are less applications i imagine that they have to deal with. I did need to wait nearly 3 weeks though before i got any kind of answer on my claim, luckily it all went through ok so now i am receiving the jobseekers payment as i should be. Hopefully though i wont need to claim it for very long and i will be back to work.
